Real people answer at support@projectplenum.com, usually the same day.
How does a job flow through Plenum?
Write a bid → send it → your customer approves from their phone → Plenum drafts the deposit invoice (or the full invoice if there’s no deposit) → you send it → they pay online or you record the check → when the job’s done, create the final invoice; it shows the deposit as a credit.
Why does the bid say “Not opened yet” when I opened it?
Visits from anyone signed in to your Plenum account don’t count — otherwise checking your own bid would look like the customer reading it. Open the link in a private window or on a phone that isn’t signed in to test.
How do customers pay online?
Connect Stripe in Settings → Online payments (about 5 minutes; you’ll need your EIN and bank details). After that, every sent invoice link has a Pay button. Bank transfers take 3–5 business days to clear and are recorded automatically when they do.
A customer paid online and I also recorded their check. Now what?
Plenum never counts money twice. The extra shows in Needs attention as “needs review” — refund it in your Stripe dashboard.
Can I change a bid after sending it?
Yes, until it’s approved. If the customer already had the page open, they’ll be asked to reload before approving, so they always approve what you last saved.
What happens when my trial ends?
Nothing is deleted or locked. You can still see everything, invoice approved jobs and take payments. Sending new bids pauses until you choose a plan.
How do I add someone from the office?
Settings → Team → Invite. Members do the day-to-day work; owners also manage billing, Stripe and the team.
I forgot my password.
Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page. Resetting it signs you out everywhere else, too.
Can Plenum work without internet?
Pages you’ve opened stay readable offline. Saving, sending and recording payments wait until you’re back online, so nothing can be entered twice.
